Romance of the Wilds and the Village - Dates to be determined
We will follow the route of an early 20th Century luxury train through some wild Finger Lakes terrain to Taughannock Falls State Park and the unique village of Trumansburg.

The first night will find us at a bed and breakfast that brings us back in time to the luxurious early days of Finger Lakes tourism. Explore Taughannock Falls, walking uphill from the lake in the spirit of millions of years of our earth's history to arrive at the Village of Trumansburg and a series of exciting treasures of the village that await us. Sample local chocolates, wines and poetry while contemplating the concepts of terroir and sense of place. On the evening of the second day we will make our way back to Ithaca by public transportation that conveniently links this quaint village with the city of Ithaca.

As Place Odyssey and the Art of Walking is a relatively new experiment and organized by only one little person, please have patience as the minute details of trips flesh themselves out in the months and weeks before the date of departure.  The more people who sign up early, the more details can be known in advance.  Every effort is made to create inspiring itineraries. Pleasant surprises that can't be known months in advance are part of the great adventure.  You'll notice that costs decrease with increasing numbers of participants (though groups are never huge)...so tell all of your friends about us too!

If you're arriving from out of town for a Place Odyssey adventure, we are more than happy to help you figure out the additional logistics.
